Last year EIT Food called for Proofs of Concepts (PoCs) for ideas that might have societal impact. The 2021 PoCs are now getting to the stage of searching consortium partners for their full project proposal.
Proofs of concepts (PoCs) help to determine whether an idea or a specific concept when turned into reality would bring societal impact as envisioned. The proof of concept, if successful, should lead to multi-year activities demonstrating considerable impact potential. This year, small size consortia are busy testing and demonstrating the societal potential of their idea/concept.
The PoCs fit in one of three themes:
- Theme 1: Improving societal health to reduce childhood obesity
- Theme 2: Improving societal health to reduce the prevalence of Non-Communicable Diseases
- Theme 3: Sustainability in the food chain to reduce greenhouse gas emissions
At this event, 2021 PoC activity leaders will present their concepts and the type of expertise they invite to bring their concept to full project. Their presentations will be followed by Q&A sessions.
