Job: Tees-Swale Interpretation Officer, Durham County Council, Durham, UK

Tees-Swale is an area that covers nearly 850km2. Through partnerships with The North Pennines Area of outstanding Natural Beauty Partnership and the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority, projects within the area seek to restore, expand and connect habitats across the uplands of Teesdale and Swaledale. Through this work they aim to contribute to climate change mitigation, flood-risk management and increasing people’s well-being. The position available will be responsible for leading interpretation programmes with the goal of expanding connectedness to heritage sites and the natural environment particularly in the Tees-Swale area. 

Applicants must have: a degree or equivalent, in an environmental, heritage, communications, marketing, arts, creative design or interpretation related subject. Alternatively applicants will also qualify if they have experience working in a similar to interpretation/creative role.
