Environmental Benefits of Recycling
Resource
Environmental Benefits of Recycling published by the government-funded Waste Resources Action Programme (WRAP), looks at the contribution that recycling makes to reducing CO2. It estimates that current UK recycling saves 10-15 million tonnes of CO2 equivalent greenhouse gases a year (note: the UK's total GHG emissions are about 656 mill tonnes). This is equivalent to taking 3.5 million cars off the road.

Assessing Alternative Technologies: LCA of Salmonid Culture Systems in Canada
Resource
This study, 'Assessing Alternative Aquaculture Technologies: Life Cycle Assessment of Salmonid Culture Systems in Canada', employed life cycle assessment (LCA) to quantify and compare the potential environmental impacts of culturing salmonids in a conventional marine net-pen system with those of three reportedly environmentally-friendly alternatives; a marine floating bag system; a land-based saltwater flow through system; and a land-based freshwater recirculating system.

Effects of Climate Change and Commercial Fishing on Atlantic Cod
Resource
This report finds that, during the course of the last century, populations of Atlantic cod Gadus morhua L. have undergone dramatic declines in abundance across their biogeographic range, leading to debate about the relative roles of climatic warming and overfishing in driving these changes. Although thermal regimes clearly define the biogeographic range of the species, and strongly influence many aspects of cod biology, the evidence that population declines across the North Atlantic are strongly linked to fishing activity is now overwhelming.

Building Adaptive Capacity to Climate Change
Resource
This report is a good starting point as it includes an overview of impacts of climate change on fisheries as well as adaptation and mitigation measures in the fisheries sector which can be taken, focusing on less industrialised nations. The mitigation section is comprehensive and finds that there may be synergies between emission reductions, energy savings and responsible fisheries. It goes on to propose this list of useful policy recommendations which could contribute to all these goals:

OECD report on water
Resource
The OECD has published a new report called Sustainable Management of Water Resources in Agriculture. Agriculture is the major user of water in most countries. It also faces the enormous challenge of producing almost 50% more food by 2030 and doubling production by 2050. This will likely need to be achieved with less water, mainly because of growing pressures from urbanisation, industrialisation and climate change.
