This Environment Agency report was launched in October 2007 and sets out the Agency’s strategy for protecting, managing and restoring soil. The strategy highlights the “profound effects” on soil caused by climate change, how the climate can be affected by soil management and the important, if poorly understood part that soils play in sequestering carbon.
