Other favorite dishes include chilaquiles, enchiladas, tostadas, and many more, usually served with meat/meat products, cheese, cream and black beans as well. These are the main food products associated with protein. Nowadays, vegetarian and vegan options are more common. Obviously, there is regional variation; near the coast, fish and seafood are very popular and the main source of animal protein.
