Moderator and Speaker Bios
As part of the Policy and External Relations team at the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition, Oliver Camp works at the intersection of human health and environmental sustainability in food systems. Through GAIN’s programmes and policy engagement, he focuses on integrated approaches to nutrition and climate, including through the Initiative on Climate Action and Nutrition and the Food and Land Use Coalition. He has a background in the private sector and consultancy, always with a focus on nutrition, health, climate, and environmental sustainability.
Matheus Alves Zanella is Senior Advisor for Global Fora at the Global Alliance for the Future of Food (GA), a strategic alliance of 30 philanthropic organizations working together to transform food systems towards more equitable, sustainable and diverse outcomes. He is responsible for coordinating GA's strategy in international food negotiations, such as Climate, Biodiversity and Land COPs, G20, UNFSS, the Global Alliance Against Hunger and Poverty, and the CFS. He has a PhD in Geography and Sustainable Development. In the past, he co-lead action-research programs on food systems around the globe and built a parallel career as chef serving sustainable food in his home country, Brazil.
Alessia Mortara is The Food and Land Use Coalition’s Head of International Policy Engagement. She has over 10 years of experience in the food policy space leading advocacy efforts to influence legislation as well as providing technical assistance to governments on evidence-informed policy design. Her work has had global reach, spanning from Europe to Latin America and Africa. At FOLU, Alessia’s work involves advancing our global policy engagements as well as working with our country teams to support their national efforts.
