The UK’s Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) is seeking to commission a research study to improve understanding of rotational mob grazing; its impacts, benefits and trade-offs.

This study will objectively analyse benefits, trade-offs and any wider impacts through replicated field trials to build understanding on how to appropriately exploit any potential productivity or environmental gains.

Applications will be accepted through the Defra BRAVO portal; the invitation to tender is listed under the “view current opportunities” section as Project: project_29541 - Understanding rotational “mob” grazing: impacts, benefits and trade-offs. The deadline is 30 November 2020. The intended contract start date is January 2021, with a potential project lifetime of 3 years duration.
