Schumacher College and the Dartington Trust are hiring two Graduate Research Assistantships for the 2022 programme of their MSc in Regenerative Food, Farming, and Enterprise. Read their job description below:

Overview: We are accepting applications to fill two research positions for our master’s programme. The first project will focus on developing new educational curriculum for sustainability and food production at the Park School, located on the Dartington Estate. The second project will focus on carrying out biodiversity surveys, above and below ground, on intensively cultivated agricultural land at Hainbury Farm, located in Ilchester, Somerset. These surveys and analyses will contribute to a 10 year restoration plan centered on regenerative practices. 

Both projects will be carried out in collaboration with either the Park School or associates from Hainbury Farm, and Schumacher College. Compensation will be in the form of a scholarship of £5000. 

Qualifications: For the first project we are looking for students with a background and interest in childhood education and sustainability, and garden design. For the second project we invite those with a background in ecology, quantitative data analysis, water and soil sampling, and/or natural history. 

Deadline: October 22, 2021

Start date: January 2022
