The University of Sheffield is hiring a Research Associate to work on simulation and modelling to help reduce plastic packaging and food waste. The role will be part of an interdisciplinary team (Management School, AMRC, Geography and Chemistry) at the University of Sheffield, and involve collaboration with researchers from City University, Greenwich University and WRAP.
Candidates should have a PhD and substantial experience of simulation, covering discrete event simulation and agent-based modelling. Knowledge of the plastic packaging product innovation, plastic in the supply chain and the environmental impact, food system and consumer behaviour is desirable.
