We are looking for an ambitious Postdoctoral researcher with a great interest in designing models to predict growth of pathogens in foods. This postdoc project focusses on the design of mathematical models to predict the growth of pathogens in plant-based foods to safely design novel protein-rich foods.
As postdoctoral researcher, you will:
-
use experimental and literature data to develop predictive models for growth of pathogens in different plant-based products. The experimental data collection is performed in close collaboration by the project partner Wageningen Food & Biobased Research;
-
evaluate strategies to control the microbiological risks based on the new models;
-
publish results and findings in peer reviewed journals;
-
supervise food microbiology practicals and/or online courses on food microbiology (10-15% of your time).
