The Transforming UK Food Systems Strategic Priorities Fund offers funding to support interdisciplinary research into interventions that will transform the UK food system.
Projects eligible for funding are those that bring together elements from food production, processing, manufacturing and food environments, with a focus on improving the health of diets. Projects should also be led by a UK-based researcher at a research organisation eligible for Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council funding or an eligible public sector research organisation.
There are no discipline-specific requirements, but a project must: integrate both social and natural sciences; collaborate with at least one stakeholder organisation from government, business or civil society; and address UK government priorities.
Projects can be supported for two to three years.
The deadline for application is 22 April 2021. Read more here.
