The journal Science Fiction Studies is working on a special issue that examines how the concept of food is treated across the spectrum of historical and contemporary science fiction. It seeks to argue that visions of the future of food are an important topic as science fiction turns towards engaging with environmental issues.
The guest editors invite submissions that explore a range of science fiction food imaginaries and foodways. They welcome engagement with a variety of science fiction media, including written texts, multimedia or interdisciplinary texts, visual and televisual texts, and interactive media.
