Can seafood keep you and the planet healthy? Can it help you feed your family affordably? How do you cook it?

Come and find out at #SeafoodMattersUK! Our interactive demonstrations and panels include:

  • ‘Come Dine with Cat’ – Food educator Catriona Frankitti will run her workshop where children and adults become seafood explorers, discovering new flavours and the health benefits of eating seafood.
  • ‘Masterchef: Fish School’ – Forth Valley College and food bank Start-Up Stirling challenge their student chefs to come up with tasty meals using the lesser-known, cheap and nutritious seafood products that can be found in supermarkets.
  • ‘Blue Fashion: don’t just eat seafood…wear it!’ William Anderton (University of Stirling) shows you how we can reduce food waste while helping the planet.
  • ‘Seafood dinners for 99p per person: nutritionally and environmentally sound and tasty.’ by Amy McGoohan, University of Edinburgh.

Plus many more! Visit the WEBSITE for more info and register for free if you are wanting to attend the full event. If you are only interested in the publically open demonstrations (Thursday June 23, 5-6pm) or the evening ‘BIG FISH SERIES’ seminar (Thursday June 23, 6-7pm) there is no need to register online ahead of the event – just sign in at the event registration desk on entry in the Pathfoot Building Crush Hall.
