Organiser's description
Contestations in Land & Agriculture is an international conference jointly hosted by the Laudato Si’ Research Institute, Campion Hall, and the McDonald Centre for Theology, Ethics and Public Life, both of the University of Oxford. The conference will be held at Christ Church, University of Oxford from 16-18 May 2022.
It will offer new perspectives from theology, ethics, philosophy and related fields on questions of land use and agriculture. Its aim is to map out what we might call a new “territorial” turn for global society.
There will be a special focus on contemporary issues and case-studies in land contestations from around the world.
If you are not able to attend in person, you are invited to register for free to view a livestream feed of the lectures by Professor Katongole (16 May) and Professor Davis (17 May).
